Hosanna Friday Nights

What is it?

You are invited to drop of your child(ren) to enjoy a Friday night at Hosanna Lutheran Church with other children about 2-3 Fridays each month (see below for more specific dates).

Hours: Fridays from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.

(You may drop off later than 5:30 or pick up earlier than 9:30 p.m.)

Dinner will be provided (i.e. pizza, chicken nuggets, etc.).

Evening events will include free play, crafts, games, service projects, bible story, and a movie.

Why are we doing it?

To provide adult time to have a date night, hang with friends, stay home to do laundry, or binge-watch Netflix.

To provide opportunities for children to grow in their faith and have fun together.

Who can participate?

Ages 3 to completed 5th grade (MUST be potty-trained). 6th – 12th graders can be helpers.

This event is open to all community members not just Hosanna members.

(At this time, we are not able to offer care for children under 3 years old. If this is something that interests you, please contact Melissa Rizzo and we can consider it for the future.)

How much does it cost?

This event is free but donations are encouraged. Any money collected will go towards the 2021 ELCA National Youth Gathering. Our MS and HS youth will be earning money to go to Minneapolis.

Who will staff the event?

Pastor Bret Rizzo and Melissa Rizzo (Groveport 3rd Grade Teacher) will lead the event along with many other Hosanna volunteers. All volunteers have had background checks. MS and HS youth will be helping but they will not be left unsupervised with any children.

When will these events occur?

Future dates will be posted once the treat of the COVID-19 Pandemic decreases.
