Who is a Stephen Minister?
Selected, trained and supervised to provide effective Christian care
- A child of God who walks beside a hurting person
- A caring Christian friend who really listens
- A lay person who has received 50 hours of training in how to provide distinctively Christian Care
- Provides confidential one-to-one personal Christian care
- Assist our Pastors in extending Christian care to members of the congregation or community who are experiencing a difficult time within their lives.
- Grieving the death of a loved one
- Hospitalized or recovering from hospitalization
- Lonely or discouraged
- Coping with a terminal illness or caring for a family member with a terminal illness
- New to the congregation or the community
- Homebound
- Experiencing a spiritual crisis
- Anyone ... facing countless other crisis or life's challenges
